ClassAMP

A prediction tool for classification of AMPs

FASTA format

FASTA format for sequences begins with a single-line description, followed by lines of sequence data. The description line is demarked from the sequence data by a greater-than ('>') symbol in the first column.

For example :-

>gi|109894868|sp|P84868|SESQN_VIGUS Sesquin
KTCENLADTY

Prediction

Two separate algorithms for prediction of antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral peptides were build based on Random Forests (RF) and Support Vector Machines (SVM). The user can select one algorithm for prediction.

Sequence/s in FASTA format (upper case) can be pasted or uploaded for prediction.

The results for the prediction models is explained below:

Seq. ID: It is the single line description present in fasta format of sequences.

Prediction The sequences are predicted as Antibacterial or Antifungal or Antiviral.

Probability The probability score (0 to 1) for each prediction gives the strength of the prediction. Higher the probability, greater is the possibility of the prediction being correct.
